David L. “Dave” Conn, age 82, of Coldwater, Ohio, passed away on February 9, 2026, at CareCore at Heritage in Minster.

Dave was born on June 14, 1943, in Fawn River Township, Michigan, to the late Francis and Mary Louise (Castle) Conn. He was a 1962 graduate of Vestaburg High School in Vestaburg, Michigan. Dave went on to dedicate more than 30 years of service to Eaton Corporation in Saginaw, Michigan, where he worked as a certified tool and die maker before retiring.

He is survived by his beloved life partner, Becky Klenke of Coldwater; his children, Deb (Jeff) Hawkins of Celina, Scott (Jen) Conn of Celina, Kelly (Curt) Joyce of Anna, and Vince Conn of Saginaw; and his stepchildren, Tonja (Jimmy) Ebright of Coldwater and Chris (Jamie) Klenke of Chattanooga, Ohio. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Jennifer, JD “John”, Jill, Braden, Kenzie, Cameron, Paige, Kena, Jeff, Kim, Makenzie, and Jazlyn; six great-grandchildren; longtime friends, Bruce (Kathi) Cyphers and their daughters, Harley and Josey, all of Celina.

In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his son, Joe Conn; a sister; and three brothers.

Dave was a very active and faithful member of Covenant Community Church in Coldwater. He was a certified officiant and found great joy in performing wedding ceremonies. He was also deeply committed to prison ministry, sharing his faith and encouragement with those who were incarcerated. A gifted handyman, Dave especially enjoyed carpentry and mechanical work. In his free time, he loved hunting, fishing, camping, and simply being outdoors. Most of all, he cherished being around people. Dave was also a generous blood donor, faithfully giving to the American Red Cross over the years.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the Conn family.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Covenant Community Church, 809 Rose Dr., Coldwater, Ohio 45828.
