David's early life in Cleveland laid the foundation for a life full of accomplishment and service. After graduating from Baldwin-Wallace University with a bachelor's degree in music, majoring in Classical Piano, David's passion for music became a cornerstone of his identity. It is this passion that led him to become an integral member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, the North Coast Men's Chorus, and a cantor at Our Lady of Good Counsel/Mary Queen of Peace Church in Cleveland, where his voice and spirit uplifted many.
Professionally, David was a pillar of excellence at Progressive Insurance Company, where he served as a Sales Manager. His remarkable ability to inspire and motivate not only led to personal accolades, achieving the highest personal sales, but also to the success of his team, which he led as the group sales manager for 21 years. David's innate leadership qualities and his role as a personal motivator and life coach left an indelible mark on everyone he worked with.
David's life was rich with love and companionship, as he shared many cherished moments with his husband, Anthony Mosley. Together, they navigated the journey of life with grace and affection. David was also a beloved brother to Irene Contreras-Queen (married to Gary L. Queen), Pauline Contreras-Nowakowski (married to David Nowakowski), and he held dear the memory of his late sister, Bernardine Chuppa Gurko (Joseph). His role as an uncle and great uncle brought joy to many family gatherings, where his laughter and wisdom were infectious.
Throughout his life, David's Christian faith guided him, providing a wellspring of strength and purpose. In his early life his involvement in church activities was not just a duty but a heartfelt devotion. His ability to connect with people on a spiritual level was a gift that he shared generously.
