It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Dwayne Correll, who left us on January 11, 2026, at the age of 54. Born on May 3, 1971, in York, SC, David spent much of his life in Belmont, NC, where he became well-known for his warm smile and easy-going personality.
David was a dedicated family man, cherished by his daughter, Amber Correll (Ty Peterson); siblings, Melissa Correll, Kathy Meadows, and Christy Correll; numerous nieces and nephews; best friend, Bill Lee. He loved spending time with them and was always eager to create lasting memories.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Linda Correll, and Carolene Robinson Correll; brothers, Jackie Correll and Michael Correll; grandfather, Glenn Correll.
David had a passion for fishing and was an avid fan of NASCAR racing, proudly supporting Dale Earnhardt Sr. His love for the sport also led him to collect NASCAR memorabilia, which brought him great joy.
While we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the wonderful life he lived. David's spirit will live on in all the hearts he touched. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor him and to give friends and family a chance to gather, share stories, and remember the good times.
We invite all who knew and loved David to join us in remembering a remarkable man whose legacy will continue to inspire us.
