Paul Correll Obituary
Paul R. Correll, 83, of Somerset, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at The Neighborhood.
He was born on August 28, 1942 to the late Harley & Alpha (Roberts) Correll in Monticello, Kentucky. Paul was a devoted man of faith who loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life-fishing, gardening, riding his tractor, keeping his yard just right, and traveling alongside his beloved wife. On November 10, 1962, Paul married the love of his life, Orene Correll, and together they shared many wonderful years and were blessed with four girls. Paul dearly loved his girls and took great pride in being their daddy. He dedicated 33 years of service as a clerk with the United States Postal Service before retiring. Above all, Paul cherished his family and the life he built with Orene, whom he loved dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Orene (Day) Correll; his daughters, Patti & (Scott) Simpson, Sharon & (Aaron) Glover, Cindy & James (Randy) Norfleet; his grandchildren, Brittany Neal, Rachel & (Shawn) Dunn, Chase & (SnowBrooke) Neal, Heather & (Chris) Hinton, Samantha & (Nick) Stewart, and Matthew Norfleet; his great-grandchildren, Brendon, Boothe, Vincent, Dominic, Ronan, Leo, Olivia, Mikel,Jonah, Maddy, Kelsey, Lyndsey, and Sophie; two nephews, Tony and Mark; and two nieces, Rita and Pam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley & Alpha Correll; his daughter, Paula Orene Correll; his brothers, Donald, Virgil, Eugene, and James; a sister, Wilma; and a nephew, Terry.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Shepherd officiating.
Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
In lieu of flowers the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form in donations to Hospice of Lake Cumberland or Immanuel Baptist Church.
