David Duke Crall, 80, of Wichita KS, on October 12, 2025 passed away of natural causes.
Duke was born in Weatherford, Oklahoma, on January 9, 1945, to parents Lloyd David Crall and Idell Maxine Duke. He was the second of five children.
The family moved to Dodge City, Kansas, where he attended school and graduated in 1963. He then served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged from the army with distinguished medals. Duke moved to Wichita and attended Wichita State University, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in business in 1973.
Uncertain of what he wanted to do, he spent time working at Corky's Grocery Store, where he met several lifelong friends. He eventually settled into the construction and remodeling trade, a field he had a great aptitude for and loved doing.
Duke had many interests and hobbies, including the theater, where he worked as a stagehand and set designer in and around Wichita. This included helping some rock bands that passed through the area. In his younger years, he played volleyball and tennis, meeting more good friends. He also played the piano and several other instruments, and he enjoyed writing his own music.
Duke was always an artist; his yard and house are a testament to his abilities. He made friends easily, as he loved to talk to everyone he met. Whether friend or stranger, he was loved and respected by all.
As he used to say a lot "Eat dessert first"
Duke is survived by his brother Mike Crall of Atlanta Texas and sister Mary Loghry of Oberlin KS.
There are no formal services planned, as per his preference.
