David Cramblet Obituary

David Samuel Cramblet, age 87, passed away in Muskegon, MI, and went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was born on May 25, 1937, in Muskegon, to Charles and Norine (Anderson) Cramblet, and graduated from Holton High School. On October 15, 1955, he married the former Lois VanKampen, and the two of them spent 69 wonderful years building their family together.

He worked in sales and management at Canteen Service Company for many years before going on to start the corporate vending division at Brunswick. He later went on to work as a distributor for Thill Oil, and then as a salesman for National Oil, Neidlinger Oil Company, and Merle Boes before retiring in December of 1999. He was a longtime member at Forest Park Covenant Church, where he served as a senior high youth leader, choir member, and trustee board member. He also helped build the Mary and Joseph Houses, and participated in multiple mission trips to Beattyville, Kentucky. He was a member of the Lions Club and Toastmasters International, and in his spare time he enjoyed fishing and had an appreciation for old cars. David loved to socialize with anyone and everyone, especially through a joke or a story.

David will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lois Cramblet; children: Debbie (Mark) Gordon and Dawn (William) Owens; daughter in-law, Lori Cramblet; seven grandchildren: Mark David (Elizabeth) Gordon, Stefanie (Greg) Reiner, Andy (Erin) Owens, Amanda (Joe) Bryant, Matthew (Keisha) Cramblet, Jared (Kelby) Cramblet, and Kristin (Jim) Fuller; ten great-grandchildren: Chase Gordon, Aubrey Gordon, Isabelle Reiner, Maeven Owens, Judah Owens, Charlee Beth Bryant, Anna Bryant, Ainsley Cramblet, Ocean Cramblet, and Easton Fuller; and two siblings: Milly Kramer and Kay Franks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles K. and Norine Cramblet; son, David D. Cramblet; and three siblings: Joel Cramblet, Charles C. Cramblet, and Sue Ann Arnett.

A FUNERAL SERVICE officiated by Pastor Craig Cramblet will be held for David at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with VISITATION taking place an hour prior. Deb & Mark, I did not know your Dad but seems to be a true servant of God. To loose a parent makes a big hole in your heart but to know someday you'll be together again helps. Until that day.....keep looking up. You know he's watching you and smiling.....saying....thats my kids.

I can still hear Dave´s wonderful laugh. He had so many good stories to tell and always seemed to be upbeat. I admired him so much for taking special care of Lois every day. He was such an inspiration as a devoted family man. I will miss chatting with him. May our Lord give you comfort that Dave is with his Savior and loved ones.

We are so sorry for your loss, I will always remember seeing him riding his bike. In the later years, as I visited my Mom at SKLD I would see him as he visited his wife. His smile was contagious! Thinking of you all.
