David Leo Croft, 72, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Monday, November 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Debra A. (Keaney) Croft for 17 years. Son of the late Robert and Georgeanna (McKay) Croft, he was born in Boston and raised in Dorchester. David resided in Stoughton for the past 30 years. He was a self-employed painter.  In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and restoring his 1968 Chevy Malibu but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.

David was the father of Garrion Maxey-Croft of Stoughton, Jennifer Gately Ronco and her husband Kevin of Norwood and the late Danielle Croft and stepfather of Tony Keaney and Sharleen Keaney. He was the grandfather of Chloe, Donovan, Dante, Emma, Kaila, Lincon, Mejia and Tianna. He was the brother of Melvin Croft and Darlene Ohirok both of Quincy, James Croft of Massachusetts, Lynn Croft of Everett and Marian Croft of the South End. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, November 30 from 4-7 PM and Friday, December 1 from 10:30-11:30 AM. Graveside Prayers will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in David‘s memory may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
