David Daigneault Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Godere - Guillot Funeral Home, Inc. on Oct. 17, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Daigneault, a devoted father, cherished grandfather, and passionate motorcyclist. David departed this world on October 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.
Born and raised in Norwich, CT, David was the epitome of a hardworking American. His dedication to his career with Teamsters Local 493 was matched only by his unwavering commitment to his family. He took pride in providing for his loved ones and always made family his top priority. His two children, Christie (Jonathan) Rose of Norwich, and Melissa (Thomas) Daigneault of Montville, were a constant source of joy for him, and he instilled in them the values of hard work, integrity, and compassion that guided him throughout his life.
David's passion for adventure was evident in his love for riding his Harley Davidson. The open road was his sanctuary, where he found freedom and solace. Many will remember him as an avid rider who relished every opportunity to take a ride, explore new places, and meet fellow motorcycle enthusiasts. His love for the Harley community brought friendships that would last a lifetime.
In addition to his children, David leaves behind four beloved grandchildren, Adalai, Liam, Bennett, and Mica, who were the light of his life. He delighted in spending time with them, sharing stories, and passing on his wisdom. His laughter and warmth will be sorely missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him.
David also leaves behind the mother of his children, Norma Daigneault, whom he maintained a close relationship with.
David's family and friends are invited to celebrate his life at a graveside service on 10/24/2024 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Norwich.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to his daughters, for final expenses and to preserve the future for his grandsons he worked so hard to give.

As we say goodbye to David, we honor a man who embodied the spirit of hard work, family devotion, and the joy of living life to the fullest. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, his stories, and his love for the ride. Rest in peace, David. You will be missed but never forgotten.
The family would also like to take this opportunity to thank DaVita Kidney Care, Norwich. You became second family to us, for the good & the bad, and we can't thank you enough for making the last handful of years with our Dad possible. Your kindness, compassion, and sense of humor is unmatched in this world- it wasn't unnoticed. He loved every one of you and the friendships he built.
