David "Duck" Dale of Gainesville, Georgia passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday January 6, 2026, following an extended period of declining health.

David was born on June 21, 1949, to Juanita Castleberry Dale and the late Grady Dale. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers Dennis "Hog" Dale and Danny "Digger" Dale.

He is survived by his mother Juanita Dale; devoted son Dallas Dale; daughter Felicia Stephens; son-in-law Russ Stephens; sister Diane Turner; brother-in-law Mike Turner along with a large extended family.

He was a Dawson county native. He was a lifelong member of Concord Baptist Church in Cumming, GA. After graduating from Dawson County High School in 1967, he served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He was stationed in Germany during that time. He worked in the automobile business in Gainesville for many years until his retirement one year ago. He loved playing cards with his buddies and took much pride in his skills. One of them talked about how brilliant David was and said that sometimes his friends would be talking and David would say "this is my story and I will tell it the way I want to." He was known for his generous spirit and willingness to help anyone in need.

Memorial Park Funeral Home – Main at 2030 Memorial Park Drive in Gainesville is in charge of services. Family will receive friends on Friday January 9th from 6 PM until 8 PM and Saturday from noon until 2 PM. Memorial service at 2 PM Saturday at the chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Rubin Smith will officiate. David will be cremated according to his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund, 6905 Concord Rd, Cumming, GA 30028.
