David “Dave” S. Fincher, age 58, husband of Christy Castle Fincher, passed away, Friday, August 1, 2025 at MUSC.
He was born September 27, 1966 in Union, SC, and was the son of Judy Smart and the late Mike Fincher. Dave was an aficionado of watches and trains, and a history and genealogy buff. He was of the Christian faith and loved the Lord.
In addition to his wife of 35 years, whom he affectionately referred to as “sugar,” Dave is survived by his sons, Ethan Fincher (Brianna), and Arlen Fincher; his grandson, Bryce Fincher; his sister, Karen Vogt (J.T.); his aunt, Aunt Bop; and his nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents, Charlie and Jean Fincher; and his aunt, Wilma Hall.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Whitmire.
The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Church.
