David Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, Sandusky Chapel on Mar. 7, 2026.
David Lamar Davis, III, 45, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2026, due to health complications.

He was born on November 22, 1980 in Elyria to the late David Davis, Jr. and Pauline Davis. He attended Elyria High School, graduating in 2001. He was an athlete, competing in track, basketball, and football. He also briefly attended college after high school.

David was employed as a janitor at Lorain Preparatory Academy. He also worked part-time for Provantage. Earlier, he was also a janitor for Classic Building.

David's hobbies were rapping and making bracelets. He loved his quiet time, watching football and basketball, and discussing sports with someone. He had dreams of coaching a football team with his son.

Davis is survived by his wife/high school sweetheart, Allonna Davis, to whom he has been married for 12 years; his only child, David Armon Davis, IV; six step-children; mother, Pauline Davis; sister, Tanya Ross; and many other loving family members.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by grandparents, David, Sr. and Barbara Davis; cousin, Shantrel Walk; and uncle, Lorenzo Walk.

Viewing will be Thursday, March 12 from 11 a.m. until funeral services begin at 12 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Cremation will follow. Condolences may be shared online at toftfuneralhome.com.
