David Day Obituary

David Harry Day, 87, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2025, while at his home.

David was born on December 5, 1937, to the late George and Laura (Smith) Day Sr., in Wexford, PA.

He graduated from Reynoldsville High School. He worked for B&O Railroad, Old Mountain Gas, and then retired from Niagara Cutter.

David married the love of his life, M. Helen Snyder, on November 10, 1974, in Reynoldsville; Helen survives him.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. David loved spending time with family and friends. He was a simple man who loved to be outside hunting and fishing with his grandsons. He also enjoyed gardening and selling his prized vegetables at the farmer's market. His favorite hobby was feeding the fish in his pond.

In addition to his wife, David is survived by six children: David E. Day, Dana (Paul) Oaks, Lori (Nick) Kohler, Lorri (Jim) Smith, Lance (Lisa) Yount, and Jennifer (Mike) Dusch; three siblings: Marge Verne, Robert Day, and Denise McGranor; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in passing by one brother: George Day Jr.

Per David's wishes, a private memorial will be held at his family's discretion. Interment will take place at Desire Cemetery, Wishaw Twp., Jefferson Co., PA. Online condolences and other information may be found by visiting www.dargyfh.com.

Sympathy to the family of David. I graduated with him and always enjoyed his talks and witty humor at our reunions. Peace to the family.
