David Earl Degan

David Earl Degan of Upper Black Eddy, PA passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. He was 75 years old.

Born in Doylestown, PA to the late Harry and Lavera (Mills) Degan, David resided in Upper Black Eddy most of his life.

He was the former owner and operator of Degan's Service Center in Upper Black Eddy, PA from 1972 to 2000.

David enjoyed NASCAR and NHRA and classic cars.

He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Sandra Lee (Miller) Degan; devoted father of Shannon MacIntyre and her fiancé Rob High, Jill Degan Gal, and David Degan; dear brother of Beverly Smith, Wayne Degan and his wife Cathy, and the late Jim Degan; loving grandfather of Michael MacIntyre and Mason Gal; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of David's life will be held at the Bridgeton Athletic Association, 1340 Bridgeton Hill Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972 on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.

Cremation services were private under the direction of the Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
