David Wayne Delfeld, of Hurst, Texas passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in Gainesville, Texas, David was a respected member of his community and a devoted legal professional.
David proudly served in the Army for a brief stint of 6 months, an experience that imbued him with a distinct sense of discipline and service. He pursued higher education at Texas Tech University, graduating in 1977 with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence. His education paved the way for a long and successful career as an attorney, where he dedicated many years to the practice of law, earning the respect and trust of his clients and colleagues.
Beyond his professional life, David was deeply committed to his faith and community, regularly attending a bible study group. This was a source of great comfort and fellowship for him, reflecting his dedication to his spiritual life and community.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne Oral Delfeld and Margaret Louise Delfeld (Collins).
He is survived by his daughter, Samantha Delfeld; sons, Jason Delfeld and wife, Megan, Andrew Delfeld; sister, Suzanne Sisk and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Jayda, Ava, Zachary, Jameson; great-granddaughter, Natalia; nieces, Susan, Sarah, Laura; other family members and special friends, Elizabeth Womack, Ken and Sharon Delfeld, Diana Kite, and everyone at Serving Our Seniors.
David's legacy is marked by his commitment to his profession, his service to his country, and his devotion to his faith. He will be remembered for his integrity, professionalism, and compassionate nature.
