David A. "Demo" DeMagistris, 77, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025. He was the husband of Sylvia (Marini) DeMagistris.

Born Oct. 20, 1947, in Providence, he was a son the late Joseph and Rita (Legasse) DeMagistris. He was also the stepson of the late Gloria DeMagistris

In addition to his wife, he leaves his daughter, Michelle DeMagistris; and her spouse Michael K Sullivan and his four grandchildren, Stephanie Pellergrino, Michael L. Sullivan, Christoper Sullivan and Angela Sullivan, and his two great-grandchildren, Mila and Liam. He also leaves a stepdaughter, Melanie DiMauro and two step-grandchildren, Tyler and Krysta.

A proud member of the Local Teamsters 251, David spent many years as a dedicated truck driver. Over the course of his career, he also worked in various other roles before eventually retiring. He also worked for the US Postal Service for a period of time. His work ethic was second to none, and he was known by many for his reliability and strong sense of responsibility.

David was a long time member of the Teramano Club in Providence, where he enjoyed camaraderie and community. A true lover of the open road, David found joy in riding his Harley and the sense of freedom it brought to him. He had a huge heart for animals and was known to take in and care for pets with genuine love and compassion.

One of his daily rituals was meeting up with friends for morning coffee at Honey Dew, where laughter, conversation and good company was always on the menu. It was in the small cherished routines that David built lasting bonds and made unforgettable memories.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His warmth, humor and generous spirit will live on in the hearts of many. He also leaves his beloved Dog "Demo" and Cat "Buddy"

He was the brother of Karen Carlson of Scituate, RI, Linda Dorval of Hope, RI, Wendy LaChance of Kansas City, MO, Sandra Bowser of North Scituate, RI, and Marie Smith of Smithfield, RI and the late William DeMagistris.
