David Earl DeMaris, 90, of Wappapello, MO, passed away Friday, February 07, 2025, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
David was born on May 04, 1934, to James and Nora (Rich) DeMaris, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Mamie Alverada Strickland on October 10, 1956, in Mississippi.
David attended First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of the United States Air Force and worked as a cook. He then went on to work as an over the road truck driver for many years. David enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time outdoors. He and Mamie liked to travel and went on many cross country trips to visit family in Arizona. David's greatest joy was spending time with his family.
David is survived by his five children, David Glenn (Corey) DeMaris Lynda (Lonnie) Wood, Brenda Antone, Dale (Sheri) DeMaris and Glenn (Nicki) DeMaris; brother, Jesse DeMaris; two sisters, Betty DeMaris Sparks Tucker (Tom) and MaryAnn DeMaris; seven grandchildren, Earl, Lynn, Crystal, Matthew, Belynda, Dmitri, and Cecilia; four great-grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie DeMaris; two brothers, James DeMaris and Johnny DeMaris.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
