Eva Joan Johnson, 80, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at St. Louis University Hospital.
Eva was born on February 12, 1945, to E.W. "Buck" and Maggie (McCrory) Patillo in Gideon, Missouri. She married James “Jim” Lazalier on May 18, 1965, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Eva was a member of the Bluff City Eagles 3730 for over 40 years. She loved to travel, especially when it was with her group of girlfriends (The Eagles Bitches); there was never a dull moment when they were all together. Eva enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends.
Eva is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Eric) Batton; two sons, James "Daron" Lazalier and Scott (Rushell) Lazalier; one sister, Shirley Turley; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; best friend, Joe Ann Hall; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, James "Jim" Lazalier; second husband, Joe Riley; third husband, Dewayne Johnson; one brother, Joe Umphrey; two sisters, Mary Riefke and Beauton Day.
Gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 02, 2025, from 12:00-1:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Memorial service will follow beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Steve Patterson officiating. A private interment will take place at Memorial Gardens cemetery.
