David Denten Obituary
David Frances Denten, Jr. of Mt Prospect, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, nee Rudman. David leaves four children: Kaitlyn, James, Amanda, and David III, who will cherish many memories. His devoted mother Joan also survives along with his loving siblings: Steve (Patti) Denten, Daniel (Laura) Denten, Amy (Lee) Filbert, and Kathryn (David) Schaefers. David was preceeded in death by his father, David, Sr. in 2012.
David was an accomplished IT specialist and will be remembered for his intelligence and helpful nature. He enjoyed coaching baseball and basketball and served as athletic director for St. Emily Church. His passion for grilling and smoking barbeque meat, cooking, classic rock music more specifically bands like- Yes, Rush, AC/DC and Pet Shop Boys, baseball, sense of humor, and unrelenting love he had for his family.
Friends are welcome to gather with the family at St. Emily Catholic Church 1410 E. Central Rd. in Mt. Prospect, Il 60056 to share memories from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025. My condolences to Kathy and the family. Dave had the remarkable gift of making people laugh and in this life that's sorely needed. He will be missed for sure. May the Peace of God go with you in your time of mourning, and may your memories be filled with Dave's smile and infectious laugh always.
