David Anthony DeVIRGILIO

David (Dave) Anthony DeVirgilio, 63, of Sebastian, Florida passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2025. Dave was born in Long Branch, NJ and grew up in Hazlet, NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julie (Piraino) of 36 years; his sons, Anthony of Sebastian, Zachary (Vivian) and his precious granddaughter, Flora, of Pinehurst, NC. He is also survived by his brothers; Joseph (Carol), Richard (Elizabeth), Daniel (Colleen) and John (Stacy) and his sisters; Jeanne (Marc), Carol (James), Susan and his numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph John DeVirgilio and Jeanne Marie Finkelmeier DeVirgilio.
Dave fought a courageous battle with cancer and met each challenge along the way with a positive attitude and willingness to explore any and all options. During his treatments, Dave was quick to lend encouragement to fellow patients and uplift with his unique humor.
Dave was constantly learning through reading and research which made him an interesting conversationalist and debater. With his intelligence and humor, he was never boring. He was also a gifted craftsman. He owned a successful construction company and worked through his illness right up to the end.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 10th from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 N. Central Avenue, Sebastian, FL followed by a Memorial Service from 4:00pm to 5:00pm.
