David V. DiMenna, 44, of Shamong, NJ, passed away on January 25, 2022 with his wife by his side, after courageously battling cancer for 2 years. Born on May 18, 1977 to Joseph DiMenna II and Carol Ann DiMenna (nee Chludzinski). Devoted husband to Andrea DiMenna (nee Fanelli-Taraschi) for 15 years. Cherished father to Nina DiMenna. Dear brother to Joseph DiMenna III (Abbie), Michelle Marshina (Joseph), Bryan DiMenna (Alexandra), Jacqueline DiMenna, Nicholas DiMenna, and Janeen DiMenna. Adored son-in-law and brother-in-law. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
From birth, David was destined to be a healer. He exuded goodness, optimism, confidence, and compassion. His mission in life was to make everything and everyone around him better. His smile and soft demeanor were comforting and reassuring. These innate God-given qualities were what made him a successful physician, husband, father, son, and friend. His legacy is that he lived up to his name, which is from the Hebrew name David, which means "beloved." David was a highly talented artist, whether he was putting people back together or creating a beautiful landscape. He enjoyed every minute of life and saw that as an opportunity to bring goodness to the world. This is why he slept so little and worked so tirelessly. He considered others first. He never put himself in the front of the line. He did not seek praise or recognition. He was doing God's work – he embraced it to his final days.
In his final days, David expressed his final wish was to establish a scholarship fund for Nina. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Nina DiMenna Scholarship Fund through PayPal at [email protected]. All donations will go directly to a private account in Nina's name to be used for her education. Thank you for honoring David's final wish.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Monday, January 31st at St. Mary of the Lakes in Medford, NJ from 10:00am to 12:00pm. His funeral mass will follow at 12:00pm.

I am so sad to see that Dr. David DiMenna passed away. I had seen him last year and have him on a prayer alarm 3 days a week. Always praying for him, and his family. I thought I would check to see if he was still in the practice. My heart goes out to his family and practice. He was one of the nicest doctors I have ever had for my daughter and myself. God Bless him, and all of you!

David was the first doctor to take care of me and my foot during the pandemic. I had to find a new foot doctor thanks to the pandemic, and David did not disappoint. He is the reason why I go there to this day! Peace, Love, & Prayers to the family!

I am so sorry to hear this very sad news. I first heard of Dr. DiMenna's illness when prayers were requested for him in our parish bulletin. Hands down, he was one of the best doctors that I have had ever treat/care for me. Three years ago, as his patient, he repaired my torn achilles tendon. He was truly a wonderful doctor and I can only imagine what an amazing husband and father he was to his family. My heart and prayers go out to all of you.

My mother was a patient of Dr. David , I myself witnessed his kindness, Hope and genuine love for my mother and his care went beyond the norm. A throwback to old school embracing medical care.My mother passed away a few months ago and if she was still here on this earth she would have been devastated by his passing. She talked highly of him not just as a doctor but a human being. To his family and friends know that he left behind a human touch and an embrace that can never be erased.

Much love and respect,
The D´Ambrosio Family

Mom and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Joe and the entire DiMenna family. My mom, Dolores, was a long time patient of Dr. Dave for many years. I had the distinct pleasure of meeting him when mom could no longer go to her appointments by herself and found him to be a warm, caring and personable man.
Dr. Dave and I talked about many different subjects during our visits.
He will be greatly missed.
Sleep peacefully, Dr. Dave, as God wraps his loving arms around you and guides you home.

"Doctor Dave" took his Hippocratic Oath very seriously. He was always compassionate with his patients. We still remember how happy he was when Nina came into his life. We are grateful we got to know him for so long. We will miss him dearly as will our son-in-law, Kyle, who got to work with him regularly in Cherry Hill OR.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dave's for over 10 years. He was a wonderful doctor and very personable. We talked many times about his family and his illness and also about many issues I have going on in my life. I told him how I admired him on how he is dealing with his illness and his stamina and determination to try and maintain a normal life. My heart goes out to his wife and daughter and the rest of his family, I know he will be greatly missed.
I will miss Dr. Dave's care, RIP!
Connie Billig, a loyal and caring patient.
