David Charles Dirks Jr
DOB: 10/19/1966 DOD: 07/04/2025
We are heartbroken and sad to have to announce that David Charles Dirks Jr, 58, of
Alvin/Pearland Texas, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 4, 2025. He was born in
Cherry Point, NC on October 19,1966 to parents David Charles Dirks and Lynne Ann
Dirks. Being raised in a military family, David was able to travel to different places,
including living in Taiwan. His family finally settled in Alvin, Texas, where David
graduated from Alvin High School in 1984.
In David's later years, his biggest joy was spending time with his granddaughter, Krista
Lynn Hamilton. That was the apple of his eye and brought him great happiness. They
had an amazing connection that was so special. They loved to watch the Astros play
and they loved to play with Legos. She will miss him dearly.
David was preceded in death by his father, Capt. David C Dirks Sr, USMC (ret.) and his
mother, Lynne Ann Dirks.
David is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Dirks and Kimberly Dirks-Hamilton and
her husband Kris, both from Pearland, TX, his granddaughter, Krista Lynn Hamilton of
Pearland TX, his God Son, Jason Sas of Alvin TX, his ex-wife, best friend and love of
his life, Terri Kolajajck of Pearland, Tx, his sisters Dianne Deason and Kathy McCravy
both from Alvin Tx. and many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
David is also survived by a couple of special people in his life. Pat Bingham, who he
looked up to as a mother figure and Michael Saucedo, who he always considered and
loved as one of his own.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe to help the with getting his ashes
and to help the family with any immediate needs that arise. The GoFundMe link is:

David donated his body to science with Baylor University. Once he is returned to us, we
will then have a small memorial to celebrate his life. He didn't want any memorial or
funeral, but his daughters want to do something for him.
