David M. Doench, 65, of Manor, formerly of Plum, died Dec. 5, 2024. He was born Dec. 18, 1958, in Pittsburgh a son of the late Henry J. Doench Jr. and Rosemary Gionta Doench. David was employed as a direct support professional for mentally challenged individuals. Music defined his life. He was a musician who played the guitar, bass, and mandolin. He was a member of Refuge Church in Manor. A graduate of Plum Borough High School, David was also an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed camping, and was a Pittsburgh Penguins and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He is survived by his children, Dana Macioce (Jason), Michael Doench (Vanessa), and Maria Doench (Carson); one sister, Victoria Hughes (Brian); and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Sunday, from 1 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held Monday, at 11 a.m., in the funeral home chapel followed by interment in Plum Creek Cemetery.
