David Drache Obituary

Sun City, AZ - Obituary:

David Edwin Drache, age 77, of Sun City, AZ, passed away on February 6, 2024. He was born on April 24, 1946 to Edwin and Evelyn Drache.

David attended Owatonna High School, graduating in 1964. He later pursued higher education at General Beadle State Teachers College in Madison, SD, where he earned bachelor's degrees in History and General Business.

During his career, David worked as the Produce Manager at Red Owl in Owatonna and later found his passion as a truck driver for various companies, including MATS and Conway (now known as XPO Logistics). He cherished the open road, the interactions with people, and the sense of contentment driving brought him. His love for truck driving led him to relocate to Arizona in 1995.

David had a great sense of humor and was known for his jokes. He adored his wife, Barbara, and enjoyed surprising her with unexpected gifts. Together, they loved traveling and exploring new places.

David was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Owatonna and later became a member of Northwest Valley Baptist Church in Arizona.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Ditlevson) Drache, his daughters Kristine (David) Hall and Jennifer (Timothy) King, his 7 grandchildren, his sister Marilyn as well as several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Evelyn Drache, his sister Joyce Hartung, his sister Yvonne Arneson, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law as well as a great-granddaughter.

In his free time, David enjoyed spending time with friends, watching sports, and working on puzzles. His memorial service was held on February 16, 2024, at Northwest Valley Baptist Church in Glendale, AZ.
