David Lee Dresher, born July 30, 1954, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 25, 2025 at the age of 71. Born in California, David moved with his family to Owasso, OK at just six months old, where he lived throughout his childhood years. He was known for his athletic ability and played baseball and football for the Owasso Rams, graduating in 1972. On December 24, 1973, David married Kathy, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years.

David and Kathy built their life together in several Oklahoma cities through the years, where they raised their two daughters, Amanda Johnson and Kimberly Penn. David retired from Petra Industries in 2005. Shortly after retirement, David and Kathy moved to Denton, TX to be closer to family as they welcomed their first grandchild.

Retirement suited David well, giving him time to enjoy some of his favorite activities. He especially enjoyed trips to the casino with Kathy, spending time with his grandchildren, fishing with his brothers, playing golf, and cheering on the OU Sooners.

David is survived by his wife Kathy; his daughter Amanda and her partner Mitch; his daughter Kim and her husband Jason; his grandchildren Isabella, Bennett, Tate, Griffin, and Berklee; his brothers John, Robert and Steven; and his mother Imogene. He is preceded in death by his father, Ed.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 5th at 11:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Fairland, OK. Funeral reception following at St Paul's Lutheran Church - Washington and Pine in Fairland, OK.
