CENTERVILLE, Ind. – David William Duning II, age 77, of Centerville, Indiana, died Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Reid Health.
Born November 1, 1947, in Richmond, Indiana, to David William and Nelle Dohmen Duning, David was a life-long resident of this area. He was a graduate of Richmond High School and went to work at Dana Corporation as a machinist after graduation. David worked there for 30 years and then retired and started farming as a hobby. He loved driving tractors and making hay. David was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren, whether they were performing music or playing sports.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Helms Duning, to whom he was married August 1, 1988; children, David Duning III, Doris Elizabeth (David) Eldridge, Bryan (Jennifer) Haler, and Andrea (Michael) Stuckey; grandchildren, Ariel (Jerry) Snowden, Skylar Calvert, Eric (Shannon) Eldridge, Alyx Duning, Seth Duning, Syd Duning, Jackson Marker, Sawyer Haler, Olivia (fiancé - Josh Miles) Stuckey, and Evan Stuckey; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Wesley, Emmer, and Oliver Snowden, and Imogen Eldridge; siblings, Ellen Duning, Carolyn (David) Ripp, Carl (Judy) Duning, and Mila Duning Hamilton; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Teresa Ann Duning.
Visitation for David W. Duning II will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, Centerville. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
