David William Duvall Jr., age 61, passed away on March 10, 2025, after bravely battling heart complications. Born on September 12, 1963, David dedicated many years of his life to public service, serving as a Police Officer for both the City of Trenton and the Dade County Sheriff's Department. He was known for his kindness, warm personality, and great sense of humor, which left a lasting impression on his colleagues and the community. He was a resident of Trenton, GA.
David graduated from Northwest Georgia High School in 1981 and was part of the original crew at the Trenton McDonald's. After high school, he proudly served in the United States Air Force, an experience that shaped his strong sense of duty and dedication to helping others. Throughout his career, David remained committed to improving the lives of those around him.
Beyond his professional life, David cherished being with his family and enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises.
David is survived by his loving wife, Candy Duvall, and his beloved mother, Gladys Duvall. He leaves behind his sons, James (Misty) Duvall and Austin Campbell; and his daughters, Rachel (Aaron) Buckner, Christina (Travis) Jubin, Tressa Campbell, Octavia Duvall, and Delilah Duvall. He was a proud grandfather to Kaiden and Lila Buckner, Tula, Regan, and Mila Duvall. David is also survived by his sisters, Paula Duvall and Mary Ann (Tommy) Bradford; his brother, Steve (Chieko) Duvall; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, David William Duvall Sr.; and his grandparents, Fred and Edith Mahan; and Owen and Gladys Duvall.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate David's life will be held on Friday, March 14th at 11:00 AM in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother John Smith officiating. After the service, he will rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, March 13th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM and on Friday from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
David Duvall leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and laughter. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
