David Edstrom

Bloomington, MN - David Harold Edstrom, born December 15, 1936 in Minneapolis, MN passed peacefully January 29, 2026. Preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Amanda Edstrom, siblings, Elaine, Melvin, Robert (Beverly), Joyce Ayers (Darrell) and Wesley and his beloved son-in-law Bryan Gray. David is survived by his wife of 64 years, Arlys and their children Timothy (Leslie), Kristin Gray Hamilton (Marvin), Heidi Mattfield (Stuart) and David's son, David Jelle (Jayne), his thirteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. David served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1958. David spent his career in the Hennepin County Court system, rising from a deputy clerk for the city of Minneapolis Municipal Court to his retirement in 1992 as the Administrative Manager of the Criminal Division for the 4th Judicial District Court. Following retirement David volunteered at his church and he and Arlys traveled the world, with many wonderful adventures. Our loving husband and father will be remembered as a man dedicated to his family. Christian Burial service will be Saturday, February 7th at Washburn McReavy 7625 Mitchell Rd, Eden Prairie at 11am. Visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow. David will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
