Mr. David Ladon Edwards, 78, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at his residence. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM at Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA.
Mr. Edwards was born in Columbus, GA, April 11, 1947, to Jim Bob Edwards, Sr., and Mary Ruth Youngblood Edwards. He loved camping, hunting, and just being in the woods. He was a great grandfather and friend. Mr. Edwards enjoyed fish and BBQ cookouts and being at home. He was willing to help anyone at any time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Posey Edwards, two brothers, Charles Edwards of Lithia, FL, and Jimmy Luther Edwards of Potterville, GA, by two sisters, Bonnie Lovering of Lakeland, FL and Marlene Cox of Ft. Meade, FL, and two half-brothers, Norman Youngblood and Jim Bob Edwards, Jr., both of Columbus, GA.
He is survived by four step-children, James David Treadwell, Debra Jane Westbrook, Ronald Dean Treadwell, and Timothy Ray Treadwell; two sisters, Karen Newman of Columbus, GA, and Diane and Johnny Boswell of Lakeland, FL; thirteen grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Way-Watson Funeral Home, 1052 Dr. Deryl Hart Road, Buena Vista, Georgia has been entrusted with these arrangements.
