Lloyd F. Wooddell, 66, of Mauk, GA, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home in Buena Vista, GA, with Rev. Jerry Wooddell and Rev. Ramone Wooddell officiating. Burial will follow the service at Five Points Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Dereck Wooddell, Chris Wooddell, Wesley Radford, Ryan Knight, Ronald Parry, and Brian Culpepper. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Scallywags. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM.
Mr. Lloyd was born in Columbus, GA, on March 24, 1959, to Jerry and Maryland Tharp Wooddell. He was a member of Abundant Life Fellowship Worship Center in Mauk, GA. Mr. Lloyd loved nothing more than to ride his motorcycle and be in the wind. He was very strong-willed when it came to getting on his motorcycle and couldn’t be persuaded not to ride. Mr. Wooddell loved life and enjoyed camping with his wife, Sandra, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his younger years, he played softball. Before his retirement, he was employed with Chastain Properties in the maintenance department. He was preceded in death by his stepson, Toby Lawhorn.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Sandra Wooddell, by his parents, Rev. Jerry and Maryland Wooddell; three sons, Chris Wooddell, Dereck Wooddell (Lindy), and Kullen Wooddell (Joan); by a daughter, Summer Patel (Chris); two brothers, Randy Wooddell (Tammy) and Ramone Wooddell (Michelle); three sisters, Lavonna Wooddell (Phillip Spraggins), Mary Howard (Kenneth) and Towanna Knight (Jimmy); eight grandchildren, Ethan Wooddell, Seth Wooddell, Noah Wooddell, Kyla Wooddell, Skyler Wooddell, Autumn Patel, Aaron Wooddell, and Casey Trollinger (Hunter); and two great-grandchildren, Bennett Trollinger and Cooper Trollinger. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
