David Raymond Elliott, 67, of Douglasville, GA, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. He was born on September 21, 1958, the son of the late Morris Elliott, Sr. and the late Roseanne Elliott Baker.
David leaves behind a legacy of kindness, community service, and unwavering faith.
David dedicated over 40 years of his life to the role of Bindery Operator, where he was respected not just for his skill but also for his character. He was known as a diligent worker who approached each task with calmness and thoughtfulness. His professional life was marked by a commitment to excellence and a quiet strength that inspired those around him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, David was deeply involved in his community. He volunteered with the Mobile Food Pantry through his church, embodying selflessness and dedication to helping those in need. Known as a peacemaker, he often extended grace to others and was always ready to lend a compassionate ear. His quiet demeanor and great listening skills made him a cherished confidant and friend to many.
David’s bond with his high school sweetheart, Mrs. Cynthia Elliott, was a testament to true love. Together, they navigated life's joys and challenges, sharing a bond that grew deeper with each passing year.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, J.R. Elliott, and Edward Elliott.
He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia Posey Elliott; son, James Elliott; daughter, Amanda (Kelly) Miller; sisters, Theresa Elliott DeFoor and Brenda Elliott Pritchard; and several nephews.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home Douglas Chapel with Dr. Greg Towler officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Villa Rica, GA.
As we remember David, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life characterized by service, love, and faith. His memory will continue to resonate within the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
