David Michael Ende, born April 26, 1956, to Donald and Joan (Gutekunst) Ende, entered into
eternal rest April 2, 2025. Predeceased by his mother Joan, brother Brian, and father Donald.
Dave graduated from West Seneca East High School and received an Associates degree in
Business from Canisius College. Dave worked a variety of jobs throughout his career, including
Freezer Queen, Oldham Saw, Corson's, Nelson Prosthetics and Orthotics, Danny Knoll's Service
Station, and Walmart, his longest position. While working at Freezer Queen, he also worked part
time as a delivery driver for Bob and John's La Hacienda, where he met his wife, Lyn. They
were married in 1983. He and Lyn, seeking a place with a barn for Lyn's horse, moved to
Newfane in 1986.
Dave was an active member of Newfane United Methodist Church until transferring his
membership to Clinton Street UMC, where Lyn serves as pastor. Dave was supportive and
involved in any activity his son and wife were involved in, including Day Care field trips, Cub
Scouts, Boy Scouts, and the Newfane UMC's Lawrence McClure Memorial Handbell Choir,
often serving as "road crew" when the Bell Choir traveled to other venues.
Dave is survived by his wife, Lyn, son Ryan (Alayla), granddaughter Juliette, stepmother Ellen
Ende, sisters Pam Oswald and Lisa (Brian Foley), and nephew Liam Foley, and many friends and
co-workers.
Dave and his family are grateful to the health care professionals at Roswell Park Cancer Institute
and the Military Rd. Davita Dialysis Clinic for their kind, compassionate, and professional care
over the past four years.
Friends may call Tuesday April 22 nd 4-7 at Rutland-Corwin Funeral Home, Inc. 2670 Main Street,
Newfane, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday April 23 rd at 11:00am at Clinton
Street UMC, 50 N. Adam St., Lockport NY, with the Rev Marilyn Kasperek officiating.
Memorials to the SPCA or Clinton Street United Methodist Church would be appreciated by the
family.
