David A. Enssle, age 67 of West Springfield, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 surrounded by his family at his residence.
He was born in Albion, PA on August 26, 1958 a son of the late Earnest A. and Hope Castle Enssle.
David attended Northwestern High School. He then worked for Rich Products in Lake City for over 30 years, and for the last 15 years for Deck/Cuyahoga Vending as a route driver.
He loved gardening, fishing, and car races. He loved to visit Raceway 7, or catch a NASCAR race. He also enjoyed spending time restoring antique tractors, as well as showing them at local tractor shows. He was an avid sports fan, the Cleveland Browns being his favorite. He could often be heard teasing the family about the Steelers or the Bills - even when his Browns weren’t winning. The Cleveland Guardians became a favorite of his, and he enjoyed watching wrestling as well.
His girls and grandkids meant the world to him. Friends will remember his humor, and playful, easygoing demeanor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Enssle in infancy and Earnest Enssle Jr.; and his parents in law, Stan and Mary Pierson. He also had been preceded in death by beloved pets Chaser, Rascal, and Sopheecat.
Survivors include his other half of over 30 years, Sherry Pierson; two daughters: Kathlene Zimmerman and her husband Justin of Conneaut, OH; Laken Loucks and her husband Jeremy, of Buffalo, NY; four brothers:
Duane (Carolyn) Enssle, of Albion; Dennis Enssle, of Conneaut, OH; Douglas Enssle and Derwin Enssle, both of Cranesville; two sisters, Doris (Tim) Conrad of Erie; Diane (Charlie) Kurowski of South Carolina; sister in law Pauline Enssle; three brothers-in-law: Arn, Doug and David Pierson; 6 grandchildren: Jade, Noelle, Olivia, and Daniel “Bubby”; Micah and Thea Loucks; a great-granddaughter Amethyst; and several nieces and nephews.
