Theodore "Ted" McGee

Theodore “Ted” McGee, age 83 of Fairview, passed away on Sunday March 1, 2026, at LECOM Senior Living.

He was born in Indiana County on October 22, 1942, a son of the late Paul B. McGee Sr. and Dorothy B. Dunmire McGee.

Ted attended school in Homer City, PA and graduated in 1959. He worked as a mapper and surveyor in the map room at the Erie County Court House for 33 years until his retirement in 2004. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He attended Weis Library United Methodist Church. He loved his property and cabin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Theodore McGee Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Marie McGee; two sons, Richard A. McGee (Jill) and John J. McGee (Erin Anderson); seven grandchildren, Andrea, Amy, Josh, Brittney, Jarod, Adieb, and Izaiah; a great granddaughter, Areya; close friend, Mary Sourborn and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St East, Girard on Friday March 6, 2026, from 11:00am until the time of service at 1:00pm. Burial in Fairview Cemetery.
