He was an avid, lifelong bowler and enjoyed the Men's Softball League and his many friends there. Dave loved hunting and fishing and was also an avid NASCAR, Buffalo Bills and Chicago Cubs fan.

A down-to-earth person, Dave would help his friends and family anytime. "A simple guy – he loved who he loved."

Also surviving is a cousin, Sherry Wright (late husband, Wayne) and her family; three sisters-in-law, GeorgAnne Lindy, Judy Keyes, and Joan Lindy and their families; as well as many additional cousins and friends who were very important to him.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Eriksen, Sr., sister, Cindy Chapman, and half-sister, Lori Bennink.

David's family will hold a celebration of his life at a future date to be announced. They suggest memorials be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
