David Evans Obituary
Hillsboro, Ohio - 1946 to 2025
David Michael Evans passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Savior, doing what he loved and surrounded by the comfort of home, music, and faith.
A gifted musician, he played guitar with the Texas Troubadours and later collaborated with his dear friend Mike Reid on the album that featured his song "Foxy Lady." After music, David became a devoted engineer, admired for his skill, patience, and mentorship of others.
He cherished his wife, Nancy Hernández Evans ("mi vida"), and was deeply proud of his children - Tim, Terry, Cheryl Lynn, and David Paul Evans. His life was filled with music, craftsmanship, faith, and family.
He found joy in nature, carpentry, and gardening, and loved his pets Spotty, Jake, Domino, and Lou. In quiet evenings he could be found watching Waterworld, Braveheart, Gladiator, Avatar, or WALL E with his family close by.
His favorite Scripture, John 10:10, guided his path:
"I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."
He lived fully in that promise, and his faith and kindness continue to bless all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas.
Arrangements are entrusted with Powell Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas.
