David A. Feldman

FELDMAN, David A. Age 93, of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at Rose Senior Living. Born on March 7, 1932, in Detroit, he was proud of his Canadian and German heritage.

David honorably served his country as a Marine Staff Sergeant in the Amtrac Amphibious Division during the Korean War. Following his service, he met the love of his life, Phyllis Romain. They were married in 1956 and shared 65 wonderful years together until her passing in 2021.

For more than five decades, Dave built a successful career as an independent insurance agent, working side by side with Phyllis to serve the needs of family, friends, and the community.

A man of many passions, Dave was a licensed private pilot and loved the freedom of flying. He also enjoyed boating, golf, and traveling between Michigan, Florida, and Indiana throughout his life. In earlier years he was an avid euchre player and cherished becoming part of the Romain family through his marriage to Phyllis.

He is survived by his children, Diana (Dean) Diesing, Kirsten (John) Christiansen, and David (Linda) Feldman Jr.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew, William (Mary) Feldman, niece Sharon Mitton, and five great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Phyllis M. Romain Feldman, in 2021, and his brother, Robert Feldman, in 1954.

Dave really enjoyed life, his friends and family and when his time came to say goodbye, he had one thing to say, "I WOULD RATHER BE FLYING."
