David Dean Flack

David Dean Flack, 73 of Postville, Iowa passed away peacefully Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his home in Postville. David was born November 18, 1951 to Wayne and Ethel (Kurth) Flack in Waukon, Iowa. He graduated in 1970 from Postville High School.
On August 10, 1974, David was united in marriage with Pauline Jones at Barneveld Lutheran Church in Barneveld, Wisconsin. David farmed after high school, then started his milk hauling business which he operated for 20+ years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa. David enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, cruising in the Nova, camping and racing. His greatest joy was spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving David are his wife, Pauline Flack of Postville, Iowa; his children, Travis (Missy) Flack of Waukon, Iowa, Casey (Kristi) Flack of Postville, Iowa and Nicole (Drew) Duerling of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Spencer Schuchmann, Trenten Flack, Dylan Flack, Jeffery Flack, Lucy Flack, Riley (Haley) Brockway, Tyler Duerling, Colton Duerling and one great-grandson, Kyler Brockway; sister, LuAnn (Al) Friederich of Luana, Iowa; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Ethel Flack, a brother Larry Flack, and father and mother-in-law Paul and Eva Jones.
A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Saturday.
Funeral Service will be at 10:30 am on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Postville, Iowa with Rev. Lynn Noel as the Officiant.
Interment will follow at God's Acres Cemetery in Clermont, Iowa.
