With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lisa Scarff, who left us on July 22, 2025, surrounded by love. A beloved mother, sister, friend, and true force of nature, Lisa lived life full throttle and entirely on her own terms.
Born and raised in Postville, Iowa, Lisa was a gifted athlete who still holds multiple records at Postville High School-a lasting testament to her drive, talent, and fearless spirit. Whether it was out on the field, on her boat, or riding the motorcycle she proudly bought for herself, Lisa never slowed down. She liked to go fast, and she liked to curse-and somehow, she made both seem like art forms.
A trailblazer in every way, Lisa worked as a welder for over 30 years, thriving in a tough trade and earning the respect of everyone around her. She could hang with the guys, outwork them, out-joke them, and-when needed-put them in their place with a grin.
But more than anything, Lisa loved her family. She was the fun one in every room, the spark at every gathering, and a fiercely loving mother to her two daughters, Tiffany and Crystal, who were the center of her world. She also shared a deep bond with her dogs, who were her loyal companions over the years.
Lisa lived boldly, loved fiercely, and laughed loudly. Her spirit was uncontainable and her presence unforgettable. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, humor, and wild-hearted love.
She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Tiffany and Crystal, her family, her friends, and everyone lucky enough to know her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you hug your people tight, take your boat out on a sunny day, or say a good curse word in her honor.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am with a visitation from 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, Iowa with Rev. Marshall Hahn as the Officiant.
Inurnment will follow at the Norway Lutheran Cemetery, St. Olaf, Iowa.
Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of McGregor, Iowa is assisting the family with services.
