Scott David Messler, 46 of West Union, Iowa passed away Monday, August 11, 2025 at Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Scott was born October 9, 1978 to Arthur and Jacqueline (Echard) Messler in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.
Scott was employed by R & R Trucking in Elgin, Iowa. Outside of work, Scott lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed golfing, drawing, exploring new places while traveling, and cruising down the open road on his motorcycle. A lifelong football fan, he never missed a chance to cheer on the Denver Broncos.
Scott had a special talent for grilling, sharing his meals with family and friends. Scott's greatest joy in life was his family-especially his seven sons, who were his pride and purpose. Scott's life was a reminder to live boldly, love deeply, and always make time for the people and passions that bring joy. His family and friends will miss him dearly but will carry forward his spirit of warmth, humor, and devotion.
Surviving Scott are his sons, Schuyler (Sawyer) Messler, Bryce Messler, Jordan Messler, Tayton Messler, Chase Messler, Andyn Messler and Baylen Messler; granddaughter, Rylie Messler; parents, Arthur and Jacqueline Messler; sisters, Anne (Mauro) Salpor and Vicki (Don) Davis; and girlfriend, Amanda Vick. Scott was preceded in death by one brother, Aaron Messler.
