David Flippo Obituary
Preceded in death by his parents David Flippo, Sr. and Shirley Batson Flippo, and sister, Davida Boltz. Survived by former wife, Nancy Blankinship and their children Aidan (19), Alice (16), and Cash (13) Flippo, his older son, Conner Flippo (26), and sister, Vickie (David) Bouse.
Since David s dad served in the US Army, David was able to travel and be exposed to many different cultures which only further enhanced his love for all people. Once his dad retired when David was in elementary school, they settled in Madison TN. He went on to graduate from Hunters Lane High School in 1990, and then attended Western Kentucky University where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. Aside from family and friends, David s other loves were music, Steelers and Alabama Football, and Kentucky basketball.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10 at GodWhy Church, 100 God Why Ct., Hendersonville, TN 37075 at 2pm with Pastor John McLendon officiating. Visitation with family and friends will take place at the church prior to service, beginning at noon, and light refreshments will be served.
David was a friend to all, with a tender heart full of love and compassion. He would literally give the shirt off his back or last dollar in his pocket to anyone in need. Each and every person who was lucky enough to know David has a story (or many) to share about how he affected their life in some way. We can all honor his memory by just being a good friend and neighbor! Put yourself out there and try to make someone else s life a little easier.

You have my sincerest condolences. I played football with David at HLHS from 86-90. We graduated together. I wish each family peace and strength during this time of grieving.
