David L. Flockerzi, 77, of Oil City (President Township), died late Friday night, January 30, 2026 at the Marquette Hospice House in Meadville.

He was born in Oil City on July 11, 1948 to the late Russell and Geraldine (Sharrar) Flockerzi.

He attended Cranberry schools. Through the years, he was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman Club, Oil City Eagles, and the P.N.A. Club.

In his earlier years, Dave enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also an avid woodworker.

Mr. Flockerzi was employed as a carpenter and builder for Bouquin Construction of Oil City for many years.

On February 18, 1967 he married his sweetheart, the former Sheila (Rudisille). She preceded him in death on June 4, 2022.

Surviving are three children, Mike Flockerzi and his wife Gretchen of Venus; Debra Flockerzi of Deal Island, Maryland, and Zeb Sprohar and his wife Jenn of Oil City; and his granddaughters, Emily Flockerzi, Laura (Flockerzi) Berbs and her husband Joshua, and Kashanda Lawrence.

Also surviving are two sisters, Cheryl Ann Delp of Venus and Mary Kay McFadden of Oil City; a brother, Bruce Flockerzi and his wife Sue of Oil City; a brother-in-law, Joseph Rudisille and his wife Georgie of Clarion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Gerlad "Nip" Flockerzi, Jean Suter, and Gary Flockerzi.

Private funeral arrangements are being held for the immediate family. Private interment will be made in Heckathorn Cemetery in Seneca.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Venango County Humane Society, 286 S. Main St., Seneca PA 16346.
