David D. Ford, 61, of Pottstown, passed away quietly and peacefully on September 21, 2025 in his residence. He was the husband of Tobie L. (Stowe) Ford whom he married on October 1, 2022.
Born in Philadelphia, Dave was a son of Marion C. (Ondeck) Ford of Windsor Township, and the late John F. "Jack" Ford who died on November 10, 2024. Dave was a 1982 graduate of Kutztown Area High School and attended Kutztown University. Dave was employed by SFS, working at their Wyomissing and Exeter locations. Dave was an accomplished carpenter at heart. He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed making anything with his hands.
Dave had a love for fishing and playing golf. As a young man Dave was a very competitive athlete and has always been a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan. He also was a great cook and grill master who loved feeding his family and friends. He enjoyed watching movies, especially those with superheroes and anything Marvel. He enjoyed supporting local groups including the Kutztown Hobos.
Along with his wife Tobie, and mother Marion, Dave is survived by his daughter, Olivia E. Ford, Chevy Chase, MD; step-daughter Carlie Skoufalos, and husband Shaun Trevino, Conroe, and their children, Ripley Linda Lee Trevino and Atticus Fox Coleman Trevino; two siblings, Karin Ford, of Allentown, and John Ford, of Wilmington, DE; and two nephews, Justin Ford and Johnny Ford.
A memorial service to celebrate and honor Dave's life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 12:00 noon in Ludwick Funeral Homes and Cremation Care, Inc., 333 Greenwich Street, Kutztown, PA, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow at Kutztown Beneficial Association, 310 Noble Street, Kutztown. As we gather to celebrate David's life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the love he shared so generously. He will be dearly missed, but his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
