David J. Gagne, 57, of Escanaba, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 2, 2026 of natural causes at his home.
He was born on January 6, 1968 in Norway, MI, son to Joseph Gagne and Linda K. (Boerschinger) King. David was raised in Schaffer and graduated from Bark River Harris School, class of 1987.
David worked on vehicles many years of his life, beginning at Gary's Collision Center and then later at Bero Motors. He later began employment at EMP before an injury forced him to retire.

David enjoyed babysitting his grandchildren, working on race cars, tinkering in his garage. Every special moment with his family was precious time spent. He was a proud husband and father and his grandchildren were his prized possession.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Gagne of Escanaba; children, Tyler (Shelby) Gagne, Tanner (Aubrey) Gagne, Alexis (Kyle) Broeders, Evin (Kendra) Gagne, and Noah Gagne; grandchildren, Leon, Cassie, and Avery Gagne and Kinsley and Winston Broeders; father, Joseph (Kathleen) Gagne; step dad, Bob King; siblings, Ben Gagne, Marlo King, Adam Gagne; father and mother in law, Richard and Linda Lantagne; brother in law, Reggie (Traci) Lantagne; sister in law, Lisa (Jake) Mabie; close friends, Tammy and Bill Wiles and Joni Elliot; and many nieces and nephews.
