David Lee Gatewood, 41, Wyandotte, OK, passed away December 31, 2025 at his home in rural Wyandotte after a long illness.
David Lee Gatewood was born May 9, 1984 in Midland, TX the son of James P. Gatewood Jr. and Phyllis M. (Smith) Gatewood. David Lee loved hunting, fishing, showing pigs and cattle, farming and the Special Olympics. He especially loved his horse "Circle D". David was a member of Sycamore Chapel Church and he loved going to church.
David was preceded in death by his father James Gatewood Jr. and several extended family members.
Survivors include his mother Phyllis M. Gatewood, Wyandotte, OK; his brother, Daniel Gatewood and wife Brittany, Wyandotte; His paternal grand parents, Jim and Darlene Gatewood, Wyandotte; his nieces and nephews, Adie Gatewood, Wyatt Gatewood, Colten Truchon, Wesson Wells and Aubreigh Grogan; several aunts and uncles and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 10am to 11am, Monday, January 5, 2026 at the Sycamore Chapel Church in Wyandotte, OK. Funeral services will be held at 11. Following the service the body will be taken for cremation under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
