David Gaver

1932 - 2022

David Stanley "Pap" Gaver, 90 of New Market, died Sunday September, 18, 2022 at Kline Hospice House with his family by his side. Born August 10, 1932 in Westminster, MD he was the son of the late Paul M. Gaver and Emily Ripley Gaver. He was the husband of Evelyn Cramer Gaver, his wife of 63 years.

He was a lifelong dairy farmer. He served in the United States Army in Korea, post war. He was a member of New Market United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities over the years, the Frederick County Farm Bureau, MD and VA Milk Producers, New Market Vol. Fire Company and the Romeo Thursday church lunch group. He was an animal lover, enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. He was well known to everyone as "Pap"

Surviving is son Michael Gaver and wife Lisa of New Market, grandchildren Laura House and husband Brian, Gregory Gaver and wife Sarah, great-grandchildren Hailey, Emma, Kathleen and Tyler House and Ruby Gaver, brother Joel Gaver and wife Caroline of Libertyown, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a brother Wallace Gaver.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at Hartzler Funeral Home-Libertyown, 11802 Liberty Rd., Frederick, MD 21701.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at New Market United Methodist Church, 5501 Old New Market Rd., New Market, MD 21774 with Pastor Scott Clawson. Private interment will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
