Obituary of David Loyd Gee
David Loyd Gee, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on March 23, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born to Loyd and Hazel (Barnard) Gee on July 23, 1943. He married the love of his life, Loretta (Park) Gee on March 17, 1963, and they remained devoted to each other until her passing in 2007.
Growing up with five siblings and having six children of his own, David valued family. Though he moved quite a bit in his earlier years, he and Loretta moved to Sapulpa in 1972 and made it their permanent home. As a devoted father, he shared interests and time with his children in activities such as camping, baseball, football, and roosters.
David's life was one of active engagement with family and friends. His door was always open to a social visit, and he was always happy to share his skills as a jack of all trades. His retirement from Limco Airepair not slow him down. He enjoyed Saturday garage sales, trips to the casino, fishing, playing dominos, and he never missed an OU softball or football game.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Loretta; children Lance Gee, Shannon Gee, David L. Gee II, and Lora Gee; siblings Jerry, Red, Alice and Anna; and grandson Trey Gee.
David will live on in the memories of his sons Richard (Christine) Gee and Russell (Libby) Gee; sister Darlene (Jerold) Young; and his many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and their families. Services will be at Green Hill Funeral Home (Sapulpa). A viewing will be 4-7 pm March 28 with funeral services at 10:30 am March 29.
