David Paul Geil III passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in his birthplace of Gulfport, MS, at the age of 72. Born on July 14, 1952, David's life was a testament to his hard work, inventive spirit, and dedication to family.
David's journey through life was marked by a tireless commitment to education and craftsmanship. After graduating from Gulfport East High School in 1970, he furthered his education at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and later at Mississippi State University. His education laid the foundation for a successful career as an Aircraft Welder, where he skillfully repaired weather survey planes on Keesler Air Force Base. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open a thriving AC business, which he ran with great success before retiring. David's passions extended beyond his professional life; he was an avid outdoorsman who found solace in hunting and fishing. Known for his skill in knitting cast nets, he cherished the moments spent surrounded by nature's beauty.
David lived a full life, rich with love, expertise, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy endures, an inspiring reminder of a life well-lived and the enduring bonds of family.
His memory will be eternally cherished and carries on through his family, with his parents David Jr and Ramona Geil preceding him in passing.
Married of four decades, David's heart belonged to his wife, Denise Geil. Together they raised two daughters, Jennifer, with her husband Grant Shropshire, and Ashley Geil. He leaves behind his brother VW Geil. The joy of David's latter years was magnified by his four grandchildren: Shelby Dupree, Payton Ladner, Harper Shropshire, and Ridley Kaul, all of whom brought him immeasurable happiness. As per David's wishes there will be a private family service.
Trinity Funeral Services is honored to serve the Geil family in their time of need and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers through the days ahead.
