David Gentrup Obituary
Dave was known for his love of life, sense of humor, and free spirit. He was a talented musician and avid boater who loved being on the water. To know Dave was to know someone who danced, often literally, to the beat of his own drum. He lived life boldly, unapologetically, and entirely on his own terms.
Visitation at 2:00 pm and service will begin at 3:00 pm, Saturday, August 16, 2025 at Dobbling Funeral Home Fort Thomas. Memorials are suggested to (Cincinnati Animal Care Shelter and Resource Center - https://cincinnatianimalcare.org/)

My dear old friend, I have been off Facebook for weeks and just heard the news. You had a fantastic hilarious sense of humor and a kind heart and good spiritual soul, you left us too soon old friend, you will be missed, We were friends since age 14, although I moved from Kentucky to Florida age 20 and we hadn't seen each other in 50 years, we had some laughs on Facebook and had a long conversation on messenger a few years back, catching up on 50 years. Miss you old friend, my heart is deeply saddened today finding out the news.

The obituary perfectly describes Dave-a love for life. The class of 72 got to reconnect with him 3 years ago at our reunion. He will be missed. Sending prayers for his eternal rest and for his family´s comfort.
