David Gentrup

David L. Gentrup, 70, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away on August 6, 2025 in Lawrenceburg, IN. He was an Aircraft Mechanic and graduate of Highlands High School in Fort Thomas. He was preceded in death by his Father, James Gentrup, Mother, Dorothy Gentrup, Aunt Lorraine (Richard) Arthur, and Aunt Gloria Jean Lauder. David is survived by his Daughter, Samantha Gentrup, Daughter, Tracy Gentrup-Ruebusch, Daughter Tina Herald (Chris Lawrence), three Grandchildren, Destany (Jordan) Dahms, Jayden Herald, Kyndall Ruebusch, two Great Grandchildren, Kylie Dahms, and Jackson Dahms, two dogs Abby and Oreo, many furry grandchildren, and a wide community of friends.

Dave was known for his love of life, sense of humor, and free spirit. He was a talented musician and avid boater who loved being on the water. To know Dave was to know someone who danced, often literally, to the beat of his own drum. He lived life boldly, unapologetically, and entirely on his own terms.
