David L. Glendenning, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Casa Grande, Arizona, at the age of 78. Born on May 13, 1946, in White Plains, New York, David lived a life characterized by kindness, laughter, and unwavering generosity.
During his twenty years of dedicated service in the United States Marine Corps, David attained the rank of Staff Sergeant (SSGT E-6), a testament to his strong character and commitment to his country. Upon his retirement, he embraced his passion for life with exuberance, quickly becoming known as a handyman who could fix almost anything. His skills were matched only by his great sense of humor; he had a remarkable ability to make people smile and touch their hearts with his warm personality.
David found joy in a wide array of activities. He loved traveling, scuba diving, and spending quality time with his family. An avid animal lover, he took great pleasure in caring for and raising creatures of all kinds. He had a special fondness for good sci-fi movies, music, and playing video games, always relishing the opportunity to share a sweet treat on any occasion.
David proudly married Jocelyn Glendenning on June 7, 1994, in Roxas City, Philippines, an event which stands as one of his proudest accomplishments. David's family always came first and that message was extended to his children: Stephanie Glendenning-Pottorff, Debbie Glendenning Aleman, David Glendenning, Douglas Glendenning ,and his cherished brother Kenneth Glendenning and Frederick Glendenning. Each of them carries forward the values David instilled in them and the love that he shared so freely.
He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Glendenning, and his mother, Eleanor Glendenning. Their influence, along with his own experiences, shaped the man he became, allowing him to lead a life filled with purpose and affection.
