David Eugene Goding, known to friends as Dave, passed away in his home on October 17, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 3, 1949, Dave's life journey took him across various places before he found a home in Loveland, Colorado, where he spent the majority of his life. His journey took a turn after suffering a bad car accident, which led him to move to Minnesota, where he lived the last 18 years.
Dave could be described as an “old hippie” and embodied the themes of Peace, Love, and Rock & Roll. He had a way of making life enjoyable for those around him, always ready to have a good time with friends. Dave also nurtured a mellow outlook on life, displaying care and selflessness. He would give the shirt off his back, even if it was the last shirt he owned. In quieter moments, he reveled in peaceful time alone, often watching his favorite shows, especially football. His loyalty to the game was evident in his support for the Denver Broncos and the Minnesota Vikings.
Dave is survived by members of his adopted family, the Marcyes, and by many friends who will remember him fondly. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Friday, October 24th, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service. Following the service, all are welcome to gather at Herby's in Carlos, MN to continue to share fellowship and memories of Dave.
